Adele Givens is comedy royalty by literal billing. One of the four Queens of Comedy alongside Mo'Nique, Sommore, and Laura Hayes, the Chicago legend helped make that 2000 Showtime special the highest rated in the network's history and a Grammy nominee, the crowning run of a career that started by winning the Crown Royal contest at Chicago's Regal Theater in 1989.
The resume runs deep through Def Comedy Jam, Martin, The Hughleys, The Parkers, and The Players Club, and the act remains what made her famous, glamorous, profane, and surgically honest about men, women, and everything they pretend.
