The Week The Stadium Sings, live music in Charlotte this week

The Marquee

Chris Stapleton brings the biggest voice in country to Bank of America Stadium on Saturday, June 20, with Lainey Wilson and Allen Stone opening. Stadium country in the middle of Uptown is still a rare event, and this is the one weekend this summer when the tailgate crowd and the theater crowd want the same ticket.

Around The Neighborhoods

Uptown does elegance this week. Jill Scott sings the Belk Theater on Tuesday, Cowboy Junkies bring the hush to the restored Carolina Theatre on Saturday, and sax man Marion Meadows holds down Middle C Jazz from Friday clear through Sunday.

The Music Factory runs hot every night. Wolfmother plays their debut album front to back at The Fillmore on Tuesday while The Beths charm The Underground next door, Big K.R.I.T. takes the small room Wednesday, and Kittie brings the heavy on Saturday. Out on the Skyla lawn, Khalid opens the week Monday with Lauv, and Wale shares Thursday with Smino.

Ballantyne has the strangest and sweetest run of the week. Les Claypool plays Tuesday with three of his own bands on one bill, Primus included. The String Cheese Incident jam Friday, and on Saturday The Human League land with Soft Cell and Alison Moyet, three pillars of British synth pop on a single lawn.

Up in University City, RUFUS DU SOL turn Truliant Amphitheater into a dance floor Tuesday, and Evanescence bring Spiritbox along Thursday. South End keeps it easy, LF System play the sunset slot at The Music Yard on Saturday.

The Comedy Card

Godfrey headlines the Comedy Zone Thursday through Saturday while Caitlin Peluffo works the hundred seats at Duckworth's the same nights. Zach Noe Towers drops in Wednesday, Therapy Gecko takes live calls in the lizard mask on Sunday, and Kevin Langue closes the week at Ovens.

Next Week's Radar

Whethan opens his entire 2026 tour at The Fillmore on Thursday, June 25, a first night with no setlist spoilers anywhere. Then Matt Rife packs Spectrum Center on Sunday, June 28. Plan ahead on both.
