Nurse John worked the healthcare trenches before the scrubs became a stage costume, and millions of nurses, students, and chronically online patients now treat his hospital comedy as documentary. The Against Medical Advice tour is all new material about the chaos and camaraderie of the ward.
The Charlotte date carries a bonus distinction, the tour opens September 10 in South Carolina, which makes Ovens on September 11 the second show of the entire run, material at its freshest and the comic still finding out which bits detonate.
