About The Strokes
Reality Awaits On Thursday
The band that rebooted rock and roll cool in 2001 is back on the road behind a new album, and the Reality Awaits world tour spans North America, Europe, and Japan. Last Nite, Reptilia, and The Adults Are Talking remain the catalog every garage band still measures against.
Charlotte's opener is a collector's item. Geordie Greep, the former black midi frontman whose unhinged solo work has critics inventing new adjectives, supports this date, a pairing of downtown cool across two generations.
Truliant Amphitheater hosts September 17. Julian Casablancas will mumble something perfect between songs and the crowd will treat it like scripture, as is tradition.
