About Rush
Fifty Something, For Neil
For years it seemed impossible. After drummer Neil Peart died in 2020, Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson made clear that Rush, as the world knew it, was over. The Fifty Something Tour is their carefully considered return, framed not as business as usual but as a celebration of the band's music, its legacy, and Peart's life.
German drum virtuoso Anika Nilles, who has backed Jeff Beck, takes the chair, a choice the pair called difficult and made with obvious respect. These are evening with shows, two full sets a night, the deep catalog given room to breathe.
Spectrum Center hosts November 20. For Charlotte fans who assumed they had seen their last Rush show, this is a chance nobody quite expected to get. Tom Sawyer, in an arena, again.
