A holiday run of turn of the century pop, outdoor dance floors, and stand up, capped by Louis Tomlinson closing Sunday at the Spectrum Center.

The Marquee

The week ends on its biggest note. Louis Tomlinson brings the How Did We Get Here? World Tour to the Spectrum Center on Sunday, July 5, billed as his largest solo run through the States yet. The Beaches open, so get there early for them. His third album, How Did I Get Here?, arrived in January, and the arena is where those songs get the scale they were built for.

Around The Neighborhoods

Uptown leans into nostalgia over the holiday weekend. The POP 2000 Tour pulls into the Carolina Theatre on Friday, July 3, with Chris Kirkpatrick of *NSYNC leading a bill that includes O-Town, Ryan Cabrera, and LFO. It is a night aimed squarely at anyone who wore out a CD wallet around the turn of the century.

Down in South End, the dance floor moves outdoors. Luttrell plays the Music Yard at SouthBound on Friday, July 3, the Anjunadeep producer bringing his bright, melodic house to the open air stage on South Boulevard. The Yard keeps the electronic run going through the Fourth itself, so the low end carries across the patio all weekend.

The Comedy Card

Desi Banks headlines the Comedy Zone at the AvidXchange Music Factory across the holiday, Friday through Sunday. The Atlanta comic built an audience of millions online before moving into film, and the club keeps every seat close for it.

Over in Uptown, the Comedy Club at Duckworth's stacks the long weekend. Luke Severeid runs multiple nights through the Fourth, and Ms. Renee Live takes the room on Sunday, July 5.

Next Week's Radar

Mark Wednesday, July 8. Santana and the Doobie Brothers share the stage at the Truliant Amphitheater, two long running institutions on one bill. It is one of those shows worth planning a midweek night around.
