The pianist opened 2026 by releasing eleven albums in January, a single month Urban Jazz Music Series, which is absurd until you learn the context, four decades of recording, a Sony Innovator Award chosen by Roberta Flack herself, five SESAC airplay awards, and a Billboard top three jazz album along the way.
His lane is the smooth, urban end of jazz, melodic piano over R&B grooves, deep Michael Jackson and Stevie tributes in the catalog, and a radio host's instinct for what keeps a room warm. Live, it is veteran ease, a player with nothing to prove enjoying himself.
He plays Middle C Jazz on June 12, an early Uptown show with dinner and drinks at your table. Two hundred seats, a five decade catalog, and a pianist who clearly cannot stop making music, easy math for a Friday.
