About Damon Wayans Jr.
Five Sets, One Hour Forming
Damon Wayans Jr. is working out his first one hour stand up special, and the Comedy Zone gets five passes at it. He runs Friday, October 16, 2026 through Sunday, October 18, with two sets on Friday, two on Saturday and one on Sunday evening.
That is a useful thing to know before you pick a night. Most people know him from television, from New Girl and Happy Endings and the Wayans family name that came before either, but club runs at this stage of a special are a different exercise. Material moves between sets, bits get cut, and the version of a joke you hear on Friday at 9:30 may not survive to Saturday. Comics tend to swing hardest on the late shows, when the room is looser and the risk is cheaper.
The Comedy Zone sits inside the AvidXchange Music Factory, so parking once covers dinner and the show, and the courtyard gives you somewhere to stand between sets. All five of these are eighteen and over. If you want the polished version, wait for the special. If you want to see how one gets made, this is the weekend.
