JB Smoove

Most people in the room will be there for Leon. JB Smoove played him across a decade of Curb Your Enthusiasm and made a supporting part into the reason a lot of people watched, mostly by talking faster and more confidently than any situation warranted. He runs four sets at the Comedy Zone across Friday, August 28 and Saturday, August 29, 2026, doubling up both nights.

The live act is a different animal from the show. Curb famously worked from outlines instead of scripts, so improvising was already the job, and on a club stage he leans on it harder still. Crowd work is not a bit he does between jokes, it is most of the hour, which means the late Friday and late Saturday sets tend to run further off the map than the early ones.

The Comedy Zone sits inside the AvidXchange Music Factory, so one parking decision covers the whole night and the courtyard bars are a short walk from the door. These are 18 and over shows. If you want the version where he builds ten minutes out of something an audience member said, book the 9:45 rather than the 7.
