Juelz

Ten o'clock on a Friday is the honest start time for this kind of show. Juelz plays the Blackbox Theater on Friday, October 16, 2026, an eighteen and over night that opens a fall run carrying him to Las Vegas, Tampa, Chicago, New York and Denver through late November.

Julian Ching works out of Vancouver, and the sound he has built sits between three things that do not usually cooperate. There is heavy bass music in it, there are the big melodic drops that festival crowds come for, and there is hip hop underneath a lot of it. The result travels well across a room that contains both people who came to headbang and people who came to hear a song.

The Blackbox is out in northeast Charlotte, away from the Music Factory and Uptown clusters entirely, which means it operates on its own clock. Late doors, a crowd that arrives late on purpose, and no competition for parking. Plan the ride home before you go, because a 10 pm start out there does not end at a reasonable hour and the light rail does not reach it.
