About Nasser Al-Rayess
The Shawarma King Plays Charlotte
The nickname arrived before the tour did. Nasser Al-Rayess has spent years as naw_sir online, where the Shawarma King bit turned a Syrian American upbringing into material that traveled a lot further than any club booking would have carried it. He plays the Comedy Zone on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, one set, 18 and over.
This year is when the club act caught up. He put out International Habiiibi in 2026, his most recent special, and has been working theaters and comedy clubs on the strength of it, with a Town Hall date in New York booked for Halloween. A Tuesday in Charlotte sits early on that curve, which is usually the good half of it.
One set means no second chance and no late show to fall back on, so this is the rare Comedy Zone booking where the room fills on the first announcement rather than the week of. The club is inside the AvidXchange Music Factory, so parking once covers dinner, the show, and whatever the courtyard is doing afterward.
