Outlander in Concert

Outlander ends in 2026 after eight seasons, and this is the send off that tours. Outlander in Concert comes to the Belk Theater on Monday, October 19, 2026, an officially licensed production built with showrunner Matthew B. Roberts and the show's Emmy winning composer Bear McCreary.

The format is straightforward and it is the right one. A live orchestra performs McCreary's score while curated highlights from all eight seasons play on a cinema scale screen above them, and the clips are chosen to stay light on dialogue so the music carries the scene. Roberts picked the sequence himself. It premiered in Scotland, which is the only sensible place to have started it, and the Charlotte date is part of the North American run.

The Belk Theater is the big hall at the Blumenthal on North Tryon, which matters here because an orchestra needs the acoustics a club cannot give it. This is a seated, assigned, dressed up kind of Uptown night. The 7th Street light rail stop is a short walk, the decks around Tryon are the usual answer, and a Monday curtain at 7:30 means Uptown is quiet on the way out.
