About RESTRICTED
Adelaide Hard Techno, After Ten
Big Jet Plane is the unlikely way a lot of people found him. RESTRICTED, the name Adelaide producer Rhys Sfyrios works under, turned the Angus & Julia Stone song into a hard dance remix in 2022, and it charted in Germany and Poland. He plays the Blackbox Theater on Friday, October 9, 2026, with doors at ten and an eighteen and over crowd.
The remix was a door, not the whole house. His actual lane is hard techno pushed toward hardstyle, fast and relentless, and he has taken it to EDC Las Vegas, Creamfields and Ultra Australia. In 2024 he started his own label, Revive Records, to put out that sound on his own terms, which tells you he plans to be at this a while.
The Blackbox sits well away from the Uptown and Music Factory clusters, and that suits a night like this. The room runs on its own late clock and people arrive late on purpose. There is no light rail out there, so sort the ride home before you leave the house, because a set that starts after ten ends well past the point where anyone wants to hunt for a car.
