Therapy Gecko is exactly what it sounds like and nothing like you expect. Lyle Drescher puts on a bright green gecko suit and takes unscreened calls and on stage conversations from strangers about their lives, loves, and confessions, dispensing advice while being scrupulously honest that he is not a licensed anything.
What started as a livestream gag grew into a podcast and a touring show that has played Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, and theaters across Europe, Australia, and Japan, because underneath the lizard is something sincere, part improv comedy, part crowd work, part accidental group therapy that turns audiences into participants.
