About Abbie Gamboa
A Worship Night In NoDa
The Neighborhood Theatre is not where most people expect a worship night, which is part of what makes this one interesting. Abbie Gamboa brings the Have You Ever Looked Around Tour there on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, one stop on an East Coast swing that also hits Washington's Howard Theatre the next night and Brooklyn Bowl a few days later.
She comes out of the modern worship world, with credits alongside UPPERROOM, Brooke Ligertwood, Chandler Moore, Bethel Music and Mosaic MSC. Her own record, pure, is the quieter, more personal side of that work. Live, the songs are built to be sung back, so the room does a lot of the work.
The Neighborhood Theatre has been an independent room on North Davidson since 1997, a converted movie house that holds under a thousand. That size suits a night like this, where the point is the crowd singing together. The Blue Line stops at 36th Street, a short walk away, and a 7:30 start on a Wednesday gets you home early.
