About Benny G
Opry Debut To NoDa
Benny G followed an unusual road to a Neighborhood Theatre headline, a Long Island kid who picked up the guitar at six, trained at Berklee, and recently made his debut at the Grand Ole Opry, the hallowed circle that does not hand out invitations lightly. The sound is genre bending by design, country at the center but reaching toward folk, pop, and soul.
The When You Know You Know Tour is his first proper headline run, the songs built on the kind of plainspoken warmth that earns a room quickly.
Neighborhood Theatre hosts September 24, 18 and up. A songwriter on the way up in a NoDa room is exactly the kind of show this neighborhood was made for. Get there before the rooms get bigger.
