About Dave Chappelle
Karmageddon, Second Night In
Your phone goes into a locked pouch at the door. Dave Chappelle has run his shows that way for years, and it holds for Karmageddon, the short fall arena tour that reaches Spectrum Center on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, the second night of the run after Nashville the evening before.
It is a tight tour, about seven dates, ending at Madison Square Garden on November 6 as the opening night of the New York Comedy Festival, with a second Garden night added on November 7 because of demand. Charlotte getting the second stop means the set is still fresh, before the long run smooths it out.
An arena is an unusual room for stand up, and the pouch is what makes it work. With no screens glowing in the bowl, 18,000 people have nothing to do but listen, and the laughs travel around the building differently. Uptown on a Wednesday is easy by the standards of an arena night. The Blue Line drops you next door, and a 7:30 start has you back on Trade Street at a sensible hour.
