Ed Bassmaster was doing character comedy on YouTube before the platform knew what it had, the Philadelphia prankster launching in 2006 and building 2.5 million subscribers on personas that became internet folklore, Skippy the unnerving nerd, tough guy Teste, the incomprehensible Mumbles, and the Would You Look at That guy whose catchphrase outgrew its creator.
The TruTV series proved the act travels beyond hidden cameras, and the 2026 live show stitches the whole roster into a stage production, stand up, characters, and stories from two decades of professionally bothering strangers.
The Comedy Club at Duckworth's hosts July 16, 18 and up. Yes, Mumbles will mumble, no, you will not understand him, that is the bit.
