Some bands you sit and admire. Grupo Bronco you get up for. One of the acts that defined the grupero boom of the 1980s out of Monterrey, they bring a catalog of norteño and cumbia to Ovens Auditorium on Sunday, August 9, 2026.
These are songs a whole generation knows cold, from the ballads to a dance floor filler like Sergio el Bailador. Decades and a reunion later, the band is back out touring in 2026 with the hits intact and a crowd still ready for them.
Ovens is a seated 1955 theater, built for orchestras and touring plays, which makes it a funny place to try to stay in your chair for this. Do not bother trying. Come for the families who grew up on these songs and the dancing that starts by the second chorus.
