About High June
From ECU To The Underground
High June started in 2021 and finished becoming a band in 2023 at East Carolina University, which is about as eastern North Carolina an origin story as a rock group can have. They headline The Underground at The Fillmore on Saturday, October 10, 2026 with Cadalay.
The sound refuses to pick a lane, and they seem happy about it. Soft rock one minute, punk energy the next, grunge leaning alt rock after that, which is what happens when a band forms around friends rather than a genre. They have been on the Lovin' Life Music Fest lineup, so a chunk of this city has already seen them outdoors in the spring without necessarily catching the name.
The Underground holds about 750 and it is the room where Charlotte finds out about bands a year or two before they need the big Fillmore next door. Check the room on your ticket, because the two share an address and not a stage. A Saturday headline slot here is a real step up from a festival side stage, and this crowd will be loud about it.
