About Joey Avery
Back In Charlotte, Bigger Crowd
Charlotte already knows him. Joey Avery came through the Comedy Zone in 2023 on his Bring Your Friends Tour, and he is back from Thursday, October 22 to Saturday, October 24, 2026, this time across town at the Comedy Club at Duckworth's, five sets in all with doubles on Friday and Saturday.
The years between have been busy. His first album debuted at number one on iTunes, he turned up on Comedy Central's Featuring and on Don't Tell Comedy's Batting Cage series, and he has spent a lot of time opening for Andrew Schulz, Mark Normand, Trevor Wallace and Shane Gillis. That is a useful list, since it tells you the pace and edge to expect.
Duckworth's runs its club on North Tryon in Uptown, a small room where the front tables are close enough to become part of the set, so choose your seat accordingly. Everything is eighteen and over. The early Saturday show at six is the one to pick if you want dinner somewhere else afterward.
