John Summit was an accountant before he was a headliner, and the career change has gone well. The Chicago DJ built a house music empire on relentless touring and his own Experts Only label, and the CTRL ESCAPE Tour, named for his sophomore album, is his largest run yet, twenty arena dates across North America.
He is also refreshingly candid about the cost of ambition, having spoken openly about losing a million dollars staging his own show at Madison Square Garden. The arena tour is the bet paying off, house music at a scale the genre rarely reaches in America.
