About Old Mervs
Farm Kids Gone Global
Old Mervs grew up on farms in Western Australia's Great Southern, about as far from a music industry as the planet allows, and wrote their way out. The duo, David House and Henry Carrington-Jones, built a following at home on scrappy, sunny indie rock, and 2026 is the year the rest of the world gets a turn, a first full North American headline run plus a Governors Ball slot in New York.
The sound is garage pop with salt on it, hooks first, guitars loud, vocals that sound like a mate telling you the story. New single Tether landed just ahead of the tour, and the live sets run on the energy of a band still amazed any of this is happening.
Charlotte gets them June 11 at Amos' Southend, 18 and up, in exactly the kind of mid size room where future festival headliners are best caught. The Bland Street rail stop behind the building makes it the easiest gamble in town.
