Peter White has lived two full careers. The English guitarist spent twenty years beside Al Stewart, co writing the top ten classic Time Passages along the way, then reinvented himself in the nineties as a solo artist and became one of smooth jazz's defining voices, a warm nylon string sound that earned four straight national best guitarist awards and a string of Billboard chart toppers.
Fifty years and seventeen albums in, the catalog keeps growing, his album Light of Day arrived in early 2026, and the live shows remain the proof, romantic, melodic guitar work delivered with a sideman's generosity and a frontman's charm.
