Tech House Hits South End
The Music Yard at SouthBound sits right on South Boulevard, an open air room in the heart of South End where the patios stay busy and the light rail rolls past all summer. On July 4, 2026 it turns the night over to Rafa Barrios, the young Seville producer whose tracks show up in sets by Carl Cox, Marco Carola, and Jamie Jones.
Barrios built his name on tech house that runs loose and a little irreverent, all rolling low end and sly percussion, the kind of groove that sounds effortless and is anything but. Releases on the genre's sharpest labels turned him into a name DJs trade among themselves.
A Saturday on the holiday weekend, outdoors in South End, is about the best frame this music could ask for. Come for the rhythm and stay for the long summer dusk.
