Rainbow Kitten Surprise formed at Appalachian State in Boone, five kids from the North Carolina mountains who turned dorm room harmonies into one of indie rock's most rabid live followings. A Charlotte amphitheater show is functionally a homecoming, two hours down the mountain with half the crowd claiming some App State connection.
The bones Tour crosses the US, Canada, Mexico, the UK, and Australia through 2026, but the genre defying catalog, folk harmony one minute, rapid fire spoken verse the next, plays differently in front of a home state lawn.
