About Rising Appalachia

Sisters, Strings, And Soul

Rising Appalachia is built around sisters Leah and Chloe Smith, who fold Appalachian roots, global folk traditions, and a deep activist streak into something genuinely their own. Over years of touring outside the industry machine, they have grown a devoted grassroots following drawn to both the harmonies and the values behind them.

The live show is part concert, part communal gathering, banjo and fiddle and two voices that have sung together their whole lives.
