About Ryan Castro
El Cantante Del Ghetto Arrives
In April 2026, Ryan Castro sold out the Atanasio Girardot stadium in his hometown of Medellín, 47,000 people for the artist who calls himself El Cantante del Ghetto. The fall US run brings that momentum to American theaters, which by comparison qualifies as an intimate evening.
The catalog blends reggaeton, dancehall, and Colombian street rap, Jordan, Wasa Wasa, and Mujeriego carrying him from Medellín buses, where he literally started by singing for fares, to global stages.
Ovens Auditorium hosts September 24, a Thursday. East Charlotte's Latin music calendar stays undefeated this fall.
