About Soccer Mommy
Night One Of The Tour
Charlotte is night one. The S&M Tour, the long awaited co headline run from Soccer Mommy and Snail Mail, opens September 30 at The Fillmore before winding through 19 cities, which means whatever this pairing becomes, it becomes it here first.
The two have been friends and parallel forces since they emerged as indie rock's defining young songwriters in the late 2010s, Sophie Allison touring Evergreen, Lindsey Jordan touring Ricochet, two catalogs of bruised, precise guitar songs that grew up alongside their audience.
Opening nights run on nerves and surprises, debuted covers, flubbed lyrics, the works. That is the appeal. Nobody else gets the unpolished version.
