About Sonic Symphony
Sonic, Scored Live
Decades of Sonic the Hedgehog games built a soundtrack good enough to fill a concert hall, and this show does exactly that, a full orchestra and rock band performing the series music while synchronized gameplay footage plays overhead. It is part concert, part nostalgia trip, part proof that game scores belong on a stage.
The arrangements pull from across the franchise, the speedy themes everyone hums and the deeper cuts the devoted know by heart, performed with a scale the original hardware could only dream of.
Ovens Auditorium hosts October 27. Families, longtime fans, and anyone who grew up with a controller in hand, all in one seated room. Gotta go fast, gracefully.
