Sunny Sweeney writes country the way Loretta Lynn intended, funny, mean when warranted, and true. The Longview, Texas songwriter's sixth album Rhinestone Requiem, released in 2025, was self produced with her guitarist Harley Husbands, steeped in her heroes, Loretta, Merle, Waylon, and praised as the purest distillation yet of her honky tonk heart.
She is also one of the genre's great hangs, hosting mornings on SiriusXM's Willie's Roadhouse, and the live shows carry that radio host's timing, songs and stories trading places all night.
