Sacramento Soul And Funk
The Philharmonik is essentially a one man band. Christian Gates, out of Sacramento, plays and produces a sound that folds hip hop into the soul and funk of Stevie Wonder and Prince, starting with his self titled 2018 debut.
He plays the South End room at Amos' Southend on South Tryon on August 13, 2026, the kind of low ceiling club that suits music this driven by groove.
