The tour name is a true story. As a college freshman in Louisiana, Tim McGraw pawned his high school class ring for twenty dollars and spent it on his first guitar. The Pawn Shop Guitar Tour, 33 dates across North America this summer, is the arena sized sequel to that transaction, with a new single by the same name along for the ride.

Three decades of number ones give the setlist an unfair advantage, Live Like You Were Dying, Something Like That, Humble and Kind, songs that work on forty thousand people or four.

Truliant Amphitheater hosts August 14, and the opener earns an early arrival. 49 Winchester play Appalachian soul from the small town of Castlewood, Virginia, and they have been converting amphitheater crowds all summer.
