About Cyril Neville
Neville Plays The Dead
Cyril Neville is New Orleans music royalty twice over, percussionist of The Meters and founding voice of the Neville Brothers, and the Plays The Dead Tour points all that funk at an unexpected target, the Grateful Dead songbook, rebuilt with heavy syncopation and southern soul.
Omari Neville and The Fuel back him, keeping it a family operation, and the September run gives jam fans and funk fans the same reason to leave the house.
Neighborhood Theatre hosts September 22, a Tuesday. Sugaree run through New Orleans is not a cover, it is a renovation, and NoDa gets the open house.
