Two days before this show, Franz Ferdinand are guests of My Chemical Romance at a stadium in Queens. On August 11 they are in NoDa, on the Neighborhood Theatre stage, in a room that holds about a thousand people. That math should not work, and that is exactly why this ticket matters.
The Glasgow art rockers are touring The Human Fear, their seventh album, released in January 2025 to the warmest reviews they have had in years, songs about what scares us dressed up in the angular grooves they invented a whole 2000s dance floor with.
Take Me Out in a club this size is a contact sport. NoDa's sticky floors have hosted plenty of legends on the way up, it gets one at full altitude for a Tuesday.
