Kevin Morby has quietly built one of the most reliable catalogs in American songwriting, eight albums of plainspoken poetry since leaving the bands Woods and The Babies to go solo in 2013. The newest, Little Wide Open, arrived in May of 2026, produced by Aaron Dessner of The National with guests like Justin Vernon and Lucinda Williams, and Morby calls it the most personal and vulnerable record he has made.
His songs work like long drives, steady, observational, occasionally swelling into something that catches you off guard. Live, that translates to a show that builds patiently and pays off, a band that knows when to whisper and when to open up.
The June 13 stop puts him in The Underground at the Music Factory, 750 capacity, standing room, close enough to hear the words land. For a writer this good, club distance is a luxury worth taking.
