The Bronx are a Los Angeles hardcore band. Mariachi El Bronx is the same group in matching suits playing actual mariachi, a side project that stopped being a joke about twenty years ago. They headline the Carolina Theatre on Thursday, October 1, 2026.
Mariachi El Bronx IV arrived in February 2026 on ATO, their first record under this name in more than a decade, twelve songs that treat the form with real respect rather than irony. The You Ese Tour is the first proper road run behind it.
A restored Uptown theater with fixed seats is a strange home for a band with hardcore roots, and that is part of the appeal. Trumpets and violins carry in a room like this in a way they never would on a club floor.
