Still Wide Awake, Sleepyhead
Few songs date stamp the late 2000s like Sleepyhead, the gleaming, chipmunked rush that introduced Passion Pit. Michael Angelakos followed it with Manners and Gossamer, albums that put euphoric synths over some of the darkest diary writing in pop, and Take a Walk became the inescapable proof that the formula scaled. The project has always been Angelakos alone at the center, and his openness about living with bipolar disorder made the joy in the music feel earned rather than escapist.
The Pretty Penny Tour brings the project back to full rooms in 2026, with the catalog's generational hits intact and a fan base that aged into nostalgia without losing the urge to jump.
The Fillmore hosts on June 14 with Arden Jones opening. Expect a floor full of people hearing their college years at full volume, and expect Sleepyhead to detonate the room whenever it arrives.
