The Generations Tour is the eighties synth pop package nobody believed would actually happen, The Human League's first coast to coast American tour since 2011, with Soft Cell and Alison Moyet riding along. Three names that built the sound of a decade, on one stage, in one night.
The setlist math is absurd. The Human League bring Don't You Want Me, Human, and Fascination. Soft Cell answer with Tainted Love, the most inescapable synth single ever cut. Moyet carries the Yazoo songbook, Only You, Don't Go, Situation, plus her solo run. Several dates on the 21 city tour sold out before it even began.
TD Amp Ballantyne hosts on June 20, an outdoor lawn for music made entirely indoors on machines, which is its own kind of poetry. Every generation that danced to these songs will be on that grass, bring all of them.
