The String Cheese Incident have spent three decades refusing to pick a genre, and the refusal became the genre. The Colorado ensemble's blend of bluegrass, funk, electronic, calypso, and rock has powered festival headline slots and a touring community that follows them city to city, and the 2026 Just Keep Spinning tour runs 33 dates of exactly that.
A Cheese show is a long form experience, two sets, deep improvisation, songs that wander off and come home transformed. The crowd is half the show, tie dye and traveling regulars mixed with first timers who came for one song and stayed for the third hour.
