Who's Bad holds a distinction no other Michael Jackson tribute can claim, founded in 2003, it is the only one that existed while the King of Pop was alive to be flattered by it. Founder and saxophonist Vamsi Tadepalli assembled the original cast from North Carolina's best musicians, which makes every Carolina date a homecoming for the world's premier MJ show.
Two decades of touring sharpened the production into the real thing's shadow, the vocals, the choreography down to the lean, the horn driven band, with stages shared alongside Aretha Franklin and the Four Tops along the way.
The Underground hosts July 25, standing room for music that does not permit stillness. From Billie Jean to Smooth Criminal, the catalog remains undefeated.
